Job Summary
Job Title: Lead Chemical Designer
Location: Limpopo, Waterberg District, Lephalale
Job Type: 6 month Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours
Job Duties:
- Lead and manage the chemical design team in the development and implementation of engineering projects
- Conduct research and analysis to identify chemical design requirements
- Create detailed design plans, specifications, and documentation for chemical processes
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure design specifications are met
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on chemical design principles and best practises
- Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines are met
- Review and approve design drawings and documentation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in in Chemical Engineering.
- PrEng with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
- Proven experience in chemical design, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of chemical processes, equipment, and materials
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Experience:
At least 10 years in chemical systems design, specifically in FGD Waste Water Treatment Plants.
Knowledge and Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of chemical processes and design principles
- Proficiency in design software and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and mentor a team
