Job Summary
Job Title: Design Engineer
Location: Limpopo, Waterberg District, Lephalale
Job Type: 6 month Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours
Job Duties:
- Create detailed design drawings and specifications for engineering projects
- Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet requirements
- Conduct research to gather information on project requirements and constraints
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop designs
- Perform calculations and analysis to validate design choices
- Prepare and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders
- Review and modify designs based on feedback and testing results
- Ensure designs adhere to industry standards and regulations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
- PrEng with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
- Proven experience working as a Design Engineer
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in design engineering in large-scale industrial projects, particularly in power generation, chemical processing, or environmental engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in conceptual design, detailed engineering design, and project execution.
- Previous experience in designing and executing Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems or similar complex process systems is preferred.
- Must have prior assignments as a Lead Design Engineer in complex, multidisciplinary projects.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
