Job Summary
Job Title: Chemical Engineer, Process Design
Location:
Limpopo, Waterberg District, Lephalale
Job Type:
6 month Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours
Job Duties:
- Developing and designing processes for chemical manufacturing
- Conducting research to improve existing processes and develop new ones
- Collaborating with other engineers and professionals to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Performing process simulations and optimisation to improve efficiency
- Troubleshooting issues and providing technical support during project implementation
Required Qualifications:
- Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering,
- Professional Engineer with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
- Experience with process design software
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical systems design, specifically related to:
- Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems or similar chemical process systems.
- Wastewater treatment processes, chemical handling, and byproduct management.
- Previous experience in designing chemical processes for power generation or industrial plants is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in process flow development, mass and energy balance calculations, and chemical reaction engineering.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Good communication and project management skills
