A multi-discipline creative agency that specialises in through-the-line marketing solutions for some of the biggest brands has an exciting opportunity for a Search and Web Specialist to join their team.
Purpose of the Role
The Search and Web Specialist is responsible for the strategic direction and management of Search and Web channels, such as Owned and Earned Media, YEXT, etc. In this role you will be responsible for the optimisation of web properties and the ongoing activity of driving qualified traffic to our client’s websites. Being the Search and Web Specialist lead, you will not manage a team of direct report. However, you will be responsible for sharing your knowledge and insight to drive team development as well as ensuring that the cross-channel digital approach is a single, consistent voice across all digital client properties, in order to deliver business growth.
Qualifications
- B.Com. Marketing / Project Manager; qualifications in digital monitoring
Experience
- 7 years experience in client service in a digital marketing agency
- 5 years digital marketing, with a focus on search (owned and earned media) and web
- Experience developing and executing innovative, integrated digital solutions and strategic roadmaps
- Excellent understanding of the digital marketing mix, including an understanding of paid media strategy, buying and reporting
- Experience of working across multiple brands and ability to adapt strategy to each
- A team player who can lead projects and who has strong project management skills
Knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of project management, delivering in time and on budget
- Sound knowledge of owned and earned media to deliver integrated digital strategies
- Tools required for reporting, including but not limited to analytics packages
- An up-to-minute knowledge of digital trends, both locally and internationally
- Experience in developing, managing and presenting solutions within a creative environment
- Should have a good understanding of social media and content marketing and optimising creative performance across platforms
Responsibilities
- SEARCH and WEB CHANNEL STRATEGY
- Develop, guide and lead the organic search and web strategy: deliver the strategic framework for each channel as part of clients AO, Campaign and Digital strategy ensuring integration of the company's ecosystem
- Organic Model: create comprehensive AO organic strategies for clients, to ensure adherence to search engine best practice and algorithmic updates, including budget recommendations based on organic vs. paid traffic analysis
- Manage KPIs across platforms: ensure clear KPI benchmarks per channel are circulated and highlighted in monthly reports, with insights of how to improve performance in order to meet and excel client expectations i.e. objectives (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Thought-leadership: share articles, trends, case studies and insights on weekly basis and prior to brainstorm/conceptualisation of ideas for client, helping to up-skill both the Digital team
- YEXT
- System Maintenance: continually update information (such as keywords, competitors, etc) as per client briefs and to meet objectives
- System Optimisation: deliver best in class local store marketing, with insights that drive operational efficiencies
- System Updates: ensure training on new system updates is completed timeously, in order to optimise clients performance
- Manage the SLAs: ensure YEXT SLA is in place, and requirements are met and renewed annually
- DIGITAL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
- Financial Management: manage monthly retainers and approve accurate CEs are generated aligned to the SOW, whilst adhering to the billing process and daily timesheets requirements, in order to drive further revenue for the company
- Brand Management: attend key client meetings in order to be seen as a web and search specialist and a valuable business partner, escalating any issues or potential risks, whilst building and maintaining key client relationships and growing revenue
- Partner Management: manage the YEXT partner relationship with weekly status sessions, ensuring a process is adhered to in order to deliver the best performance
- Business Growth: identify and rationalise digital (web, search, yext) opportunities for the company in line with the business strategy, as well as delivering on monthly tasks from the Business Strategy to drive the company's business growth

- Guide the team in best practice for SEO optimisation across the web, helping to unpack and review their reporting
