Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced fitter to join our client. The fitter will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining mechanical systems and machinery within a plastic moulding industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assemble and install machinery and mechanical systems
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment as needed
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs
- Ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Fitter Trade Test required
- Proven experience as a fitter within the plastic manufacturing industry, preference for candidates with plastic moulding.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
