Fast Moving Production Environment/Manufacturing Sector
A medium manufacturing concern and fast-growing company is looking for a dynamic, and suitably qualified / experienced Accountant to join their Head Office Team.
Minimum Requirements:
- BComm qualified candidates with 4 – 6 years financial management experience will be considered
- Proven track record
- Experience in a Retail / FMCG environment.
- Fluent in English
- Ability to function in high pressure environment
- Strong reporting skills
- Computer Literate (Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office proficiency)
- Skilled in Pastel and QuickBooks
- Self motivated, desire to grow
- Professional appearance, trustworthy, loyal
- Willing to go the extra mile to meet with operational requirements for the Business
- Microsoft Excel Advanced essential
- Excellent communication, reporting and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and have a passion for accuracy
- Cautious and diligent approach to daily tasks
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Well organized with strong attention to detail
- Honesty and integrity
- Strong numerical ability
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that all financial monthly management reports are prepared accurately
- Review of month-end management accounts ensuring the accuracy, validity and completeness
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and corporate policies and ensure that entries are recorded in compliance with the policies and accounting standards
- Prepare financial statements as and when required
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Complete reconciliations & payments
- Complete monthly VAT and employees tax reconciliations
- Complete monthly journal entries
- Complete forecasting and annual budgeting reports
- Document/update core procedures & processes
- Review of monthly expenditure & revenue accounts against
