Our client is looking for a Warehouse/Client Liaison Manager to oversee warehouse operations and client coordination in Beira, Mozambique. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with a background in warehousing, logistics, and freight forwarding, who thrives in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient storage and movement of commodities.
Liaise with clients to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring seamless operations.
Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate record-keeping and minimizing discrepancies.
Supervise warehouse staff and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent service and addressing concerns proactively.
Work closely with mechanics and technical staff to ensure smooth warehouse functionality.
Collaborate with logistics and freight forwarding teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.
Key Skills:
Strong background in warehousing, logistics, and freight forwarding.
Technical/mechanical understanding, with the ability to oversee warehouse machinery and operations.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong people skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Ability to work independently in an industrial port city environment.
Experience with leading shipping lines (Maersk, ONE, MSC, COSCO, etc.) or key competitors (Reload, Steinweg Bridge, Access, DSV) is advantageous.
5+ years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or client liaison roles.
Male under 45 preferred, but open to all candidates meeting experience criteria.
Prior experience in Beira/Mozambique is a plus but not essential.
Qualifications:
Degree preferred but not required.
Zimbabwean or South African nationality preferred, with a valid passport and willingness to relocate.
