Well-known and respected medium sized Assurance, Accounting and Consultancy firm is searching for an experienced Practice/Finance Manager to join their ranks at their offices in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years accounting and finance experience and need to have a strong financial background and preferable be a CA(SA), AGA(SA), or Professional Accountant (SA).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full bookkeeping and accounting function up to trial balance, including debtors, creditors, bank, petty cash, journals, etc. – PASTEL & XERO.
- Oversee office management to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Handle all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
- Manage Work-In-Progress (WIP) and operational workflows to improve productivity.
- Lead staff management, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and team development.
- Conduct research on industry trends, provide technical insights, and organize training sessions for staff.
- Reconcile receipts in Xero and Greatsoft.
- Conduct debtors interest runs and manage Greatsoft period rollovers.
- Notify clients via CDM and handle eDocs letterhead/content changes.
- Streamline and oversee client onboarding across all departments.
- Conduct client and staff exit interviews and manage exit processes.
- Prepare internal recharge reports and update global stats in Greatsoft.
- Compile monthly management meeting reports and provide feedback on budget vs. actual performance.
- Stay updated on industry legislation, regulations, and guides; organize training sessions as needed.
- Administer IRBA lists and process FASSET claims for learnership allowances.
- Monitor ADP progress reports and assist trainees with CaseWare.
- Adjust annual staff charge-out rates and update rates for interim increases or role changes.
- Adhoc duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A postgraduate qualification in finance or accounting is essential
- Having completed articles (either SAICA or SAIPA) will be an advantage.
- Professional qualifications CA(SA), AGA(SA) or PA(SA) will be highly valued.
- Experience with Greatsoft, Pastel, Xero, SimplePay, Pastel Payroll, CaseWare, and eFiling.
- Candidate must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience.
Remuneration:
- R35,000 – R50,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience.
- Discretionary bi-annual performance-based bonus.
- Discretionary performance-based bonus linked to fee targets.
