Are you applying for SAICA, SAIPA, OR CIMA?

CIMA Route

• Degree: A relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., BCom in Accounting, Finance, or Business) is preferred but not always mandatory.
• CIMA Exams: 15 exams covering various aspects of finance and management accounting.
• Practical Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Timeframe: The timeframe varies depending on individual study habits and work commitments, but it typically takes 2-5 years to complete all exams and gain the necessary experience

Salary:

• Entry-level: Around R10,500 to R16,000 per month depending on qualifications, experience, and company.

SAIPA Route

• Degree: A relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., BCom in Accounting) is required.
• SAIPA Professional Program: This program consists of various modules covering different areas of accounting and finance.
• Practical Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience under the supervision of a qualified accountant is required.
• Timeframe: The timeframe varies depending on individual study habits and work commitments, but it typically takes 3-5 years to complete the program and gain the necessary experience.

Salary:

• Entry-level: Around R10,500 to R16,000 per month depending on qualifications, experience, and company.

SAICA Route

• Degree: A BCom Accounting or equivalent degree is required, followed by a postgraduate diploma in accounting (PGDA) or equivalent.
• Theoretical Examination: This is a series of rigorous exams covering various aspects of accounting, auditing, and finance.
• Practical Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience under the supervision of a qualified chartered accountant is required.
• Timeframe: The timeframe varies depending on individual study habits and work commitments, but it typically takes 4-6 years to complete the program and gain the necessary experience.

Salary:

• Entry-level: Around R11,250 to R18,000 per month depending on qualifications, experience, and company..

Who We Are Looking For:

• Individuals with good grades in a BAccounting, BAccHons degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences, or a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Accounting Sciences (SAICA stream)
• OR a BAccounting, BCom Accounting, BCom Management Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, or equivalent qualification (SAIPA or CIMA stream)
• Strong computer literacy and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• A proactive and results-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow
• Driver's license and own transportation (preferred)

The Opportunity:

Depending on your chosen training path (SAICA, SAIPA, or CIMA), you will gain experience in various areas, including:

SAIPA or CIMA Stream:

• Performing accounting tasks and preparing client reports
• Handling bookkeeping functions (trial balance, debtors, creditors, etc.)
• Managing VAT, PAYE, and other tax-related processes
• Client liaison and maintaining SARS accounts

SAICA Stream:

• Performing audits
• Preparing client reports and tax returns
• Completing audit files and proposing audit opinions
