- Qualified Artisan Diesel Mechanic (Trade Test)
- Valid code EC (or EC1 0.4 or C) Drivers License
- Exp Maintenance of heavy-duty vehicles
- Exp servicing and repairing automotive components
- 2years’ exp as Manager in Unionised environment pref in heavy commercial (Buses) workshop
- Exp in Vehicle Fleet Management
- Extensive long and late hours – standby and sometimes weekends
- Exp in removal , refit and re-commissioning of heavy commercial ( busses) engine is essential.
DUTIES:
- Assist in managing the Technical Budget.
- ? Oversee maintenance to the vehicle fleet.
- ? Manage maintenance of facilities, tools and equipment.
- ? Control workshop tools and equipment.
- ? Manage Engineering Administration functions
- ? Supervise Workshop Personnel and identify developmental needs.
- ? Ensure that the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations are adhered to in the workshop
- ? Monitor Asset Register.
- ? Liaise with Manufacturers and Suppliers to ensure optimal service delivery.
