Our client is seeking a reliable and punctual Driver to join their motor dealership in the Johannesburg North area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting vehicles to and from various locations, as well as providing support for vehicle deliveries and pickups for customers. You will also assist with other driving-related tasks as required by the dealership’s daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Transportation: Safely drive and deliver vehicles to customers, service appointments, or other locations as required by the dealership.
• Vehicle Pickups: Collect vehicles from customers, service centers, or auctions and ensure they are returned in a timely and safe manner.
• Customer Deliveries: Assist in the delivery of new and pre-owned vehicles to customers, ensuring they receive their vehicles in pristine condition.
• Maintenance and Care: Conduct basic checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good condition before driving them (e.g., checking oil, tire pressure, etc.).
• Adherence to Traffic Laws: Ensure compliance with all road and traffic regulations while driving dealership vehicles.
• Documentation: Ensure that all required paperwork, including delivery forms and inspection reports, are completed and signed by customers upon delivery.
• Assist in Fleet Management: Help the dealership keep track of the vehicle fleet, noting the location, condition, and status of vehicles in transit.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service while delivering vehicles, answering any questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Running Errands: Assist with any other errands required by the dealership, such as picking up parts, delivering documents, or running miscellaneous tasks.
• Vehicle Presentation: Ensure that vehicles are clean and well-maintained before delivery to customers, as well as keeping vehicles within the dealership in top condition.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety standards while driving and handling vehicles.

Key Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Code 08 or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Driver in a dealership or similar environment is preferred.
• Excellent time management and ability to manage delivery schedules efficiently.
• Ability to handle and drive various types of vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• High level of professionalism and reliability.
• Ability to handle basic vehicle maintenance checks (e.g., oil level, tire pressure, fluid levels).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to assist with vehicle movement and other physical tasks when required.
