Overview
As a Barman and Relief Butler, you will be responsible for serving our guests and ensuring they receive a world class experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming and greeting guests on arrival
- Perform consistent service and always maintain a high standard
- Be aware of all menu changes and dietary requirements of the guests
- Support optimal communication between the kitchen and service team
- Upsell and recommend items to the guests
- Obey Liquor regulations
- Assist in any other department when needed
- Report all guest complaints to the Lodge Lead
Requirements
- No less than 5 years experience in a similar role
- Previous experience working in a 5* establishment
- World class level of F&B customer service in a luxury environment
- Knowledge in wine, cocktails and food
- Experience in wine pairing and cocktail development
Technical skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent hygiene principles
- Excellent time management and self-discipline
- Proactive, use initiative and creative flair when required
- Excellent command of the English language

Position Details
- Contract type: Permanent & on site
- Site: Thornybush Game Lodge (Hoedspruit)
- Work Cycle: 6 weeks on : 2 weeks off
- Benefits: Provident Fund
- Salary: Cash + 7.5% provident fund contribution
