SALES COORDINATOR- MALDIVES
We are seeking an experienced, organized Sales Coordinator to provide leadership support to our key account and retail field sales team and customers by managing schedules, providing essential feedback, documentation, and information. The purpose of the role is to streamline activities to support and enhance the performance of the key account and retail field sales team, thus supporting sustainable growth of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with internal team and external stakeholders. Manage the field sales team to ensure that the market is effectively and efficiently covered.
- Responsible to guide and ensure the key account managers and retail reps are achieving their KPI goals including sales quotas. Coordinate sales team by managing schedules, overseeing daily reporting, Track and analyse the sales team progress and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed. Prepare regular sales reports and present updates to senior management.
- Handle the sales order processing with accuracy and timeliness. Ensure service delivery, act as the primary point of contact and address unique needs to foster client satisfaction and loyalty. Respond to complaints from customers and give after-sales support when requested. Collaborate with various internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and finance, to streamline operations and provide comprehensive support to clients.
- Monitor, oversee and review inventory of materials (brochures, sales sheets and presentation slides) required to properly market UFS products to our clients in the Retail and the HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering) sector.
- Create, introduce file systems that securely store sales items, like records, reports, budgets and financial information.
- Collaborate, plan and execute product launches in coordination with other department teams.
- Provide training, insight, and support to team so that they are well-versed in the benefits of the product range. Address any enquiries or issues promptly to maintain strong customer satisfaction.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field. Specific training in consumer shopping habits, leadership skills, management and marketing strategies is beneficial as well.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in international HORECA sales team management.
- Experience in working and living outside of one’s home country. Experienced in working with diversity and cultures. An understanding of the Islamic culture would be preferred.
- Advanced skills in sales team optimization and development. Excellent leadership and coaching abilities
- Advanced sales and customer service skills. Able to handle productive conflict and make hard and tough decisions where necessary.
- Valid driver's license and valid passport. No criminal record.
- To obtain a work permit in another country, the relevant immigration department will require the candidate to produce and submit an original school leavers/matric certificate, as well as the original degree awarded including the transcript of results, notarised.
About the employer:
United Food Suppliers (UFS) is one of the fastest growing businesses in the Maldives, Hulhumale. The company specialises in supply, storage and distribution of temperature controlled food products such as meat, seafood, poultry, dry foods, vegetables and fruits of the highest quality from all over the world.
The position will pay a market related salary dependent on experience. The company will also provide a cell phone contract as well as a laptop for the incumbent. Accommodation is the responsibility of the incumbent; however, the first month’s rental will be covered by the company. One annual return airplane ticket to the original country or residence is also included in the package.
The working hours required in Maldives are 6 days a week, half a day on Saturday from 9-2pm and Sunday to Thursday 8.30 to 5.30pm with an hour for lunch. There also might be a need to work outside these office hours. Business trips to see clients will be via a boat and rough seas are commonplace, thus you must have good sea legs.
Please note that the Maldives is a dry country so alcoholic beverages are not available, as well as pork products. However, in terms of dress code it is not strictly Islamic.
