Job Summary
Job Title: Safety Officer
Location: City of Cape Town, Bellville, Tyger Valley
Job Type: Temporary, freelancing

Salary: ZAR12000 - ZAR25000 per month
Job Duties:
- Implement and maintain health and safety standards on construction sites, but not limited to other industries
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Provide safety training to employees and contractors
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and report findings
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation
Required Qualifications / Accreditations:
- Health and Safety qualification/certification
- SACPCMP registration is mandatory (as a candidate or fully-registered)
- First Aid certification
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry
- Knowledge of construction health and safety regulations
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of risk assessment and management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
- The role involves commuting between sites.
