Job Duties:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery in compliance with safety regulations
- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical issues
- Fabricate, weld, and assemble components as needed
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant trade qualification as an Artisan
- Valid driver's licence
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Education:
Successful completion of an apprenticeship programme in a relevant trade
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Artisan in a similar industry
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
- Proficient in welding, fabrication, and assembly techniques
- Good problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in relevant areas
- Experience working with waste management or medical equipment
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to various environmental conditions
- May require working in tight spaces or at heights
- Occasional weekend or overtime work may be necessary
