Job Summary
Financial Accountant responsibilities include budgeting, managing tax payments and performing internal audits. You will act as a consultant for senior managers, conducting cost and revenues analyses. Reporting: Accounting entries and journals Monthly and annual accruals Monthly and annual Insurance reviews and schedules VAT reconciliations, submissions and payments Assist with all taxation calculations (Income, Provisional & Deferred) and submissions to SARS Meeting daily, weekly and monthly finance deadlines Detailed stock processing and reconciliations Income Statement & Balance Sheet reconciliations to prepare Creditor reconciliations and related transactions] VAT reconciliations, submissions and payments Responsible for all stock related transactions and reconciliations Ensure quality control & integrity of all financial transactions, compliance and financial reporting All operational reports to be accurate and complete Assist with annual Audit (External & Yum) / SARS Audit preparations, schedules, etc Assist with drafting the annual financial statements and support, when needed Assist with stock takes Assist with annual budget process, any other months when needed Reconciliations: Preparation of monthly Management Reports (Balance Sheets & Income Statements) and related schedules Drafting the annual financial statements and supporting schedules Stock take procedures and analysis of weekly, monthly and annual results Maintaining files & supporting documents Streamlining / automating systems and procedures Annual Audit preparations, schedules, queries, etc. SARS and Franchisor related audits All processing in SAGE Evolution to be done accurately & timeously All related work on month end procedures to be done accurately and timely Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet items Reconciliation of related Income Statement item Core Competencies: - Adhering to Principles & Values- Following Instructions & Procedures - People Management Skills- Delivering Results & Meeting Expectations- Structured & Organised Approach - Focused on Detail & Accuracy- Be able to handle Volume, Stress & Deadlines- Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills- Self-starter, Adaptable, Energetic & Confident General Competencies: - Completely proficient in English - High Computer Literacy - Advanced Excel Skills (non-negotiable)- Previous Retail experience will be a strong advantage- Pastel Evolution and Payroll knowledge will be a strong advantage- Excellent reconciliation skills & financial applicable technical knowledge- Strong leadership skills Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required: BCom degree with completed articles & minimum 5 years post article experience Salary - +-R500 000pa CTC
