About the role
The HR Officer will play a vital role in managing and enhancing the human resources functions ensuring alignment with the company’s mission to promote employee well-being and organizational efficiency. This role involves overseeing recruitment, employee engagement, compliance with labor laws, and contributing to the development of a positive workplace culture. The HR Officer will collaborate closely with leadership and employees to drive HR strategies that support the company’s growth and success.
Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with labor laws and support employee well-being.
Oversee employee relations, ensuring open communication and conflict resolution.
Design and execute training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
Maintain and update employee records and HR systems in compliance with data protection laws (e.g., POPIA).
Monitor employee performance and provide guidance on professional development plans.
Manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
Support organizational change initiatives by advising on HR impacts and strategies.
Collaborate with leadership to promote a positive workplace culture aligned with the company’s values
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations in collaboration with relevant departments.
Requirements
Degree in Human Resources.
Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.
South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
