Job Summary
Hire Resolve's Client is currently seeking an experienced HR Manager to join a dynamic printing company based in Cape Town. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with employment laws. This role is ideal for an HR professional with a strong background in managing HR functions within the manufacturing or printing industry.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy Development and Implementation
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Identify and address HR-related risks, ensuring proactive planning and mitigation.
Talent Acquisition and Retention
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process to attract and retain top talent.
- Develop and implement onboarding programs to integrate new employees effectively.
- Monitor employee turnover and implement retention strategies.
Training and Development
- Identify training needs and facilitate skills development programs.
- Promote employee growth through career development plans and succession planning.
Employee Relations
- Foster a positive workplace environment through effective employee engagement initiatives.
- Manage disciplinary and grievance procedures in compliance with labor laws.
- Act as a mediator in conflict resolution and maintain a balance between employee and company needs.
Compensation and Benefits
- Design and manage competitive compensation structures, including payroll oversight.
- Evaluate and optimize employee benefits to ensure satisfaction and market competitiveness.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with South African labor laws and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate periodic reports for management.
HR Operations and Systems
- Oversee day-to-day HR administrative tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
- Implement and manage HR software systems for efficiency and compliance.
Health and Safety Coordination
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to ensure workplace safety standards are met.
- Conduct regular audits and training to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- HR certification (e.g., SABPP, CIPD, SHRM) is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR managerial role.
- Experience in the printing, manufacturing, or similar industries is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of South African labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
