Our client is seeking an experienced Data and Reporting Specialist to join their team. The primary focus of this role is designing, developing, and maintaining detailed reports while providing actionable insights to support business operations. As the role evolves, you will also work on building and optimizing data pipelines to enhance the accessibility and integration of data across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Reporting:
• Design, develop, and maintain detailed and accurate reports to support business and operational needs.
• Collaborate with teams to identify key metrics and ensure timely delivery of reporting solutions.
• Data Pipeline Development:
• Assist in designing and implementing scalable, efficient data pipelines as the role progresses.
• Optimize data collection and flow processes across various teams and systems.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions.
• Present insights and reports effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Tools and Process Optimization:
• Leverage Excel for data analysis and reporting in the initial stages.
• Transition to advanced tools and frameworks as the data ecosystem expands.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in a data analysis or data engineering role.
• Knowledge of the logistics industry or supply chain management is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Experience with SQL for querying and managing relational databases.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar).
• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
• Programming experience in Python, R, or a similar language is a plus.
Soft Skills:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.
• A problem-solving mindset and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.
