Minimum Desired Competencies
Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrated expertise in the core areas of responsibility, including:
Hypervisors like VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Citrix Hypervisor.
HCI such as Nutanix, Dell/EMC VxRail, or VMware vSAN
VDI solutions such as VMware Horizon or Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
Switching and routing vendors such as Cisco, Dell, HPE/Aruba, Juniper, or Fortinet.
Familiarity with cloud computing environments such as AWS or Azure.
Configuration of LDAP solutions like Microsoft Active Directory, Apple Open Directory, Knowledge of Infrastructure Security best practices
Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions. The candidate should be proactive in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related problems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
Communication:Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and end-users. The candidate should be able to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner and collaborate across different departments.
