Are you an experienced Refrigeration Technician with a passion for ensuring the reliability and performance of transport systems? Our client is seeking a skilled professional to join their team, specializing in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration units, bus air conditioning systems, and tail lifts for a range of commercial vehicles. Minimum requirements:
- Matric
- Valid drivers license
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
- Computer literate
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Own set of tools
- Working at Heights Certification
- Refrigeration/Mechanic/Auto Electrical Certification
- Willing to work standby shifts
- Reliable transport
Required skills:
- Confidence when dealing with customers
- Must have a positive attitude
- Ability to work within a team
- Positive and proactive approach to safety
- Gain confidence in product knowledge to be able to provide customers with advice regarding equipment assembly, testing, warranty inspections, and repairs
Duties and responsibilities:
- Service, repair and install transport refrigeration units, bus air-conditioning units as well as tail lifts, both in the workshop and possibly onsite
- Complete job reports on system
- Ensure that jobs are getting done on time and correctly
Remuneration:
R 8 500 - R 20 000, based on experience + cellphone allowance and company car (when on standby), as well as pension fund contribution
Working hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07:45 - 16:30
Friday: 07:45 - 15:30
Standby: Week on, week off standby rotation
