Job Summary
Are you a proactive, solutions-driven engineering professional looking to take on exciting projects within the FMCG manufacturing environment? We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our client’s team on a contract basis, contributing to the successful delivery of their 2025 project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in executing various engineering projects
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company standards
- Develop project scopes and manage requests for quotes
- Lead design reviews, HAZOP studies, factory and performance acceptance testing
- Oversee equipment delivery and on-site construction management
- Resolve technical issues timeously and collaborate on project schedules
- Lead commissioning teams and manage technical handovers to operations
- Participate in change management processes and ensure documentation is updated
- Handle administrative duties as required
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary
Requirements:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) or BTech in the same fields
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an engineering or project management role
- Project management knowledge with a relevant qualification being advantageous
- Experience working in an industrial or FMCG manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of industrial safety rules and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Strong problem-solving, presentation, report writing, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
