Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Client Portfolio Manager to implement meeting outcomes and address client requests promptly.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to clients, including account setups, terminations, payments, and preparation of tax packs and statements.
- Maintain and update CRM systems (primarily Iress), ensuring accurate and up-to-date client data.
- Ensure strict compliance with FAIS, FICA, and POPIA regulations, including completion of mandatory updates and tests.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with service providers and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and support.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of client structures and financial products (such as platforms, endowments, funds, and PSPs) to facilitate effective account management.
- Manage S42s, S14s, and other processes related to client portfolio transfers.
- Support the COO/FD on special projects aimed at enhancing client service delivery, including system enhancements and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; CFA Level I or financial certifications are a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in an operations or administrative role within asset management, financial services, or investment firms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with CRM systems like Iress; experience with financial platforms such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, or FactSet is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (FAIS, FICA, POPIA) and experience in adhering to compliance, audit, and risk management procedures.
- Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities to manage data accuracy, client transactions, and operational workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, with a client-focused approach and ability to build strong relationships with clients, service providers, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, track deadlines, and support ongoing projects related to system upgrades and process improvements.
- Team-oriented with a flexible and proactive "can-do" attitude, willing to adapt to changing priorities and contribute to a positive work culture.
