Job Summary
PBT Group is seeking an experienced Analyst Developer to provide production support for critical business environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions to support a range of systems and processes. This role includes monitoring error reports, debugging programs, and ensuring smooth integration with external systems, while adhering to industry best practices and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and resolve production queries and change requests.
- Perform root cause analysis, recommend solutions, and assist users with production issues.
- Provide technical support, including standby assistance and disaster recovery (DR) testing.
- Debug and troubleshoot programs, implementing changes in the production environment.
- Collaborate with testers to provide required test information and validate interfaces to other systems.
- Run and monitor ad hoc and monthly programs to supply data to external systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation updates.
- Address and rectify daily error reports.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications
- Grade 12.
- Relevant IT qualification (Diploma or Degree) is highly recommended.
Technical Knowledge
- Proficiency in application development and programming, including .NET C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, MVC, and LinQ.
- Experience with front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Json.
- Strong understanding of XML, XSD, HTTP, and SOAP protocols.
- Familiarity with persistence frameworks (e.g., XPO).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Patterns and Practices, UML diagrams, and documentation standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented (OO) concepts, design principles, and patterns.
- Sound knowledge of planning, software design, and quality metrics.
- Awareness of domain-driven design and enterprise testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with the financial services industry is advantageous.
Skills
- Proficient in SQL and programming techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, impact analysis, and debugging skills.
- Effective coaching and mentoring capabilities.
- Agile methodology experience is a strong advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of application development experience.
- At least 3 years of recent experience in CA Gen development.
- Proven track record of exceptional work performance.
