Job Specification: Business Analyst (Credit Applications & Lending Experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in credit applications and lending to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document requirements for credit applications and lending processes.
- Analyze and interpret data using advanced reporting tools to provide actionable insights.
- Develop functional and technical specifications for system enhancements.
- Work with development teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of solutions.
- Facilitate workshops to gather, validate, and prioritize requirements.
- Identify areas for process improvement within credit and lending workflows.
- Provide ongoing support for implemented solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Key Technical Skills:
- SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services): Proficient in designing and maintaining reports.
- XML Reporting: Strong understanding and experience in working with XML-based reports.
- MQ and ESB: Experience with message queuing systems and enterprise service buses.
- Oracle Databases/Triggers: Ability to analyze and optimize Oracle database structures and triggers.
- SQL: Expertise in interpreting and building SQL scripts for data analysis and reporting.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within credit applications and lending domains.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to bridge the gap between business and IT.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations and credit risk management.
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is advantageous.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a plus.
Role Details:
- Contract Duration: Initially a contract position with the potential to convert to permanent based on performance.
- Location: On-site in Sandton with flexible working hours.
