Hire Resolve is seeking a Design Engineer for a client to join either their Pretoria (PTA) or Johannesburg (JHB) office.
We are looking for skilled Substation and OHL (Overhead Line) Design Engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop primary and secondary plant layouts for substations
- Conduct detailed engineering studies and analyses for substation and overhead line design
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all design work
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for project proposals and implementation
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet client requirements and deadlines
- Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of designs
Requirements:
- Pr Eng Electrical Degree or similar qualification
- Proven experience in substation design (Primary Plant, Secondary or Control Plant) and OHL line design
- Eskom-related work experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of electrical design software and tools
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Salary: Market-related
Start Date: February 2025
Location: Irene, PTA or Woodmead, JHB
