Marine Technical Engineer - Hire Resolve
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Hire Resolve is seeking a Marine Technical Engineer to join their client’s team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled individual to contribute to the promotion, servicing, and repair of marine products while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and product efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Servicing & Repair: Perform stripping, examination, analysis, and cost estimation for repairs/servicing of marine products.
- Technical Support: Provide dealer support for technical repairs and maintenance of products, including assisting boat builders with engine rigging and fitment to new boats.
- Training & Development: Conduct technical training for the dealer network, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest product knowledge and training materials.
- Warranty Management: Oversee and manage warranty registrations for products across Southern Africa.
- Client Relations: Maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction through efficient and timely service.
- Administrative Duties: Prepare simple quotations and handle necessary administrative tasks associated with repairs and servicing.

- Client Satisfaction: Provide excellent service, maintaining positive relationships with clients.
- Product Knowledge: Keep up-to-date with product developments, offering accurate and knowledgeable support.
- Efficiency & Quality: Ensure high standards of technical work and repair efficiency.
- Presentation & Motivation: Maintain self-discipline and professional presentation.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Language Proficiency: Strong communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic skills to process quotations and handle administrative duties.
- Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of both company and competitor products.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to read exploded view diagrams and parts listings, with a strong aptitude for electronic and mechanical servicing.
- Manual Dexterity: Skilled in working with tools and performing both electronic and mechanical repairs.
