Hire Resolve SA is currently looking for a skilled and registered Fire Engineer to join our client's well-established engineering consulting firm in Cape Town.Job Description:
As a Fire Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and ensuring the safety of fire protection systems for different types of buildings. You will work with architects, contractors, and other engineers to make sure fire safety systems meet all legal and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design fire protection systems for buildings, including residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and safety audits.
- Ensure fire safety systems comply with relevant codes and regulations (SANS, NFPA, etc.).
- Provide technical advice on fire safety to clients and the team.
- Work with architects and other engineers to integrate fire safety into building designs.
- Inspect sites and oversee the installation of fire protection systems.
- Prepare reports, specifications, and calculations related to fire safety.
- Stay updated on the latest fire safety trends and regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Professionally registered with ECSA as a Fire Engineer.
- At least 5 years of experience in fire engineering, with proven experience in fire protection system design.
- Good knowledge of fire safety standards and regulations (SANS, NFPA).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in fire engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
