Hire Resolve is seeking a candidate on behalf of our client for the position of Building Services Mechanical Engineer (Fire).
Job Description:
- Develop fire safety and compliance designs for construction projects across South Africa and internationally.
- Manage small to medium projects with minimal guidance; manage large projects with experience or as part of the company's fire design team.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical building services and fire safety design (SANS standards).
- Experience designing fire protection systems, including firefighting equipment, smoke evacuation, stair pressurization, and fire sprinkler systems.
- Experience in thermal modeling is a plus.
- Represent the company in client and site meetings and conduct surveys.
- Assist with tender preparation and general project management tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Ideal candidate: Motivated individual looking for challenging projects, with a focus on obtaining ECSA professional registration (if not already registered).
Qualifications:
- BTech/BEng in Mechanical Engineering
- Afrikaans speaking
