Our Client is seeking an experienced Aerospace Safety Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in safety management within the industrial, construction, or energy sectors. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety of all employees, processes, and systems within the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Management: Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular safety audits, hazard analyses, and risk assessments to identify potential risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Training & Awareness: Provide safety training to employees, ensuring they understand safety protocols and comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and near misses, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Compliance & Regulations: Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001), as well as company-specific safety standards.
- Safety Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, audits, and safety meetings. Prepare detailed reports for management on safety performance and improvement initiatives.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and oversee emergency response plans, ensuring that all employees are prepared for potential hazards and emergencies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations and maintenance teams, to ensure safety practices are integrated into all aspects of company operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in safety engineering, with a focus on industrial, construction, or energy sectors.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of safety management systems, risk assessment methods, and safety equipment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and certifications (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, NEBOSH).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify hazards and implement effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to provide clear safety instructions, deliver training, and collaborate with various teams.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a focus on identifying potential hazards and ensuring safety standards are maintained.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: Certification in NEBOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001.
