We are seeking an experienced Oil and Gas Control Room Operator with 5-10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical industries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing critical processes in the control room, ensuring the smooth operation of plant systems. Key Responsibilities:
- System Monitoring: Operate and monitor advanced control systems (DCS, SCADA, PLC) to oversee oil, gas, and petrochemical production processes.
- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and resolve process issues, alarms, and system malfunctions, minimizing production downtime.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to HSE protocols and industry standards, maintaining a high level of safety in operations at all times.
- Data Logging: Record and analyze operational data, generating detailed shift reports on performance, equipment, and any incidents.
- Coordination: Collaborate with field operators, engineers, and maintenance teams to ensure timely corrective actions and process optimization.
- Emergency Response: Respond efficiently to alarms and emergencies, implementing emergency procedures and coordinating with relevant teams.
- Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to junior operators, ensuring operational standards and best practices are followed.
- Process Optimization: Suggest and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and productivity of control room operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience as an Oil and Gas Control Room Operator within the Petrochemical sector.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in operating control systems such as DCS, SCADA, PLC, and other relevant process control software in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex operational issues in real time.
- Safety Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and emergency response procedures specific to the Oil & Gas industry.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for reporting, coordinating with teams, and ensuring clarity during critical situations.
- Certifications: Relevant qualifications in Process Control, Petrochemical Operations, or Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar).
- Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-risk environment and make quick, sound decisions.
Education:
- Required: Technical qualification in Process Control, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: Degree or specialized certification in Process Engineering, Oil & Gas Operations, or a related discipline.
