Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise on all NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) matters required for projects.
- Assist and support the NDT Coordinator or project teams with NDT-related tasks.
- Develop NDT procedures for assigned projects.
- Review clients' specifications and scopes of work, analyze pipe metallurgy, and prepare detailed NDT procedures to ensure maximum productivity while meeting specified quality standards.
- Evaluate subcontractors' tender documents and technical qualifications.
- Collaborate with the QHSE Department on subcontractor assessments and audits.
- Review and approve subcontractors' NDT submissions.
- Ensure that records are maintained for all NDT activities to demonstrate compliance with client requirements.
- Maintain departmental project NDT files for easy access by other team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong project management skills.
- Fluency in Dutch or Afrikaans (non-negotiable).
Experience:
- Experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Proficient in the following NDT methods:
- RT – Radiographic Testing
- MT – Magnetic Particle Testing
- PT – Liquid Penetrant Testing
- RTI – Radiographic Film Interpretation
- HT – Hardness Testing
- PMI – Positive Material Identification
- VT – Visual Testing
- MFR – Micro Focus Radiography
- FR – Fluoroscopic Radiography
