Job Summary
Hire Resolve’s client in the packaging industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Junior Buyer to join their team in the Cape Town, Western Cape.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Buyer in sourcing goods and services for our clients
- Evaluate and compare vendor proposals and select the best value option
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and vendors to ensure that the best possible deal is obtained
- Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure that all relevant documentation is accurate and complete
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure that all deliveries are made on time and at the agreed price
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise with suppliers, vendors, or clients
- Maintain and update purchasing records, reports, and price lists
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- At least 1-year of experience in purchasing or procurement
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure that all deliveries are made on time and at the agreed price
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise with suppliers, vendors or clients
- Maintain and update purchasing records, reports and price lists
Benefits
- Salary: R350k/yr – R450k/yr, negotiable
