Opportunity 2x Process Engineer for an automotive manufacturing company in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.
Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience press tooling supported with relevant experience
- Good knowledge of sheet metal pressing
- Good knowledge of welding process
- Strong discipline to drive team members for results
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes and procedures.
- 5-Years in a large automotive manufacturing environment
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Implementation: Oversee the successful execution of new projects, ensuring quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Engineering and Process Changes: Collaborate with customers to implement engineering and process changes that improve product quality and delivery.
- Tool and Die Maintenance: Maintain stamping dies using techniques like die spotting, punch fitting, formability improvements, and relevant hand tools.
- Technology and Process Standardization: Drive the implementation of standardized technologies and processes.
- Technical Innovation: Verify and initiate the implementation of innovative technical solutions.
- Critical Process and Product Characteristics: Define and manage critical process and product characteristics, including the Bill of Material.
- Cost Estimation: Develop competitive plant cost estimates and implement them through the ECR system.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of BOSLE principles and best practices.
- Human Resources: Foster a respectful work environment, recruit, develop, and retain a qualified, motivated, and productive workforce.
- Technical Interpretation: Interpret drawings and specifications to determine optimal practices.
