Established packaging company based in Cape Town's southern suburbs requires a qualified Millwright or Fitter with strong hydraulics experience. Monthly Remuneration: * R40 000 - R50 000 basic depending on experience +benefits Required: * Matric / N3 minimum * Trade tested Millwright (mechanically inclined) or Fitter (some electrical skills) * Advanced hydraulics and pneumatics experience * Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in a production environment * Experience in the FMCG / packaging / plastics industry advantageous * Strong communication skills * Able to run a maintenance program with continuous improvements * Ability to do minor electronic fault finding Duties: * Conducting and coordinating all maintenance on machinery and equipment * Completing maintenance schedules and programs for each machine as per supplier recommendation * Building an inventory of spares for the machines and controlling spares usage and costs * Properly maintaining maintenance records as per ISO Quality System * Identification and achievement of measurable technical and process developments and improvements * Attending to breakdowns * Ordering of necessary equipment and tools for the factory * Attending relevant meetings i.e. DRM’s, Production Meetings etc. * Assisting production in achieving optimum efficiencies * Fault identification, fixing of root cause and ensuring the accurate completion of production logs and job cards * Ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures * Being available for call outs after hours Contact Scott on 0117041302
