Minimum requirements:

• Trade Test - Diesel Mechanic (trucks and trailers)
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle, Code 10 and Code 14 will be advantageous
• Minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience
• Computer Diagnostic Tool experience
• Experience in the Volvo, Man, Nissan and Mercedes will be advantageous
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English

Responsibilities:

• Work independently in the field
• Plan and perform repairs using correct tools and procedures
• Order and return parts for assigned jobs in a timely manner
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance services
• Demonstrate proper use of service information systems
• Ability to diagnose correct parts that is required for repairs
• Utilize power tools - drills, impact wrench, air ratchet, grinders, etc
• Perform relevant administrative duties and ad hoc administration as required
• Traveling to sites will be required
• Ability to perform the following tasks on basic components in work area, including engine, hydraulic, transmission and electrical components
• Completing job cards

Remuneration:

Negotiable depending on the experience + Provident Fund Contribution + Company cellphone + Company car (when on duty) + 13th Cheque in birthday month (Pro Rata)

Work hours:

Monday - Friday (except when on stand-by): 07:00 - 17:00

Overtime hours will be compensated at the appropriate rate.

Please note: Every last Saturday of every month the entire workshop will work
