Exclusive remote Luxury Game Lodge situated in Liwonde National Park - Malawi Role Overview The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the upkeep, repair, and improvement of all facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. This includes ensuring the effective functioning of mechanical systems, water and power infrastructure, vehicles, the boat fleet, and guest amenities. The role also involves proactive maintenance planning, efficient resource management, and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure and Equipment Maintenance Oversee routine and emergency maintenance of buildings, guest accommodations, and staff facilities. Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of water systems, including pumps, filters, and irrigation setups. Manage solar power systems, backup generators, and other energy infrastructure. Vehicle, Boat Fleet, and Equipment Management Skills: Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff. Problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex maintenance issues. Budgeting and resource management expertise. Proficient in using maintenance software and inventory management tools. Personal Attributes: Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work in a remote location and adapt to challenges unique to a safari lodge environment.
