Water Treatment company based in Muizenberg, Cape Town has a vacancy for a Junior Process Engineer. The role is integral to the selection and design of water treatment equipment and systems and requires a deep understanding of the processes and services that make up the core offering of the business and its competitors. Tertiary qualification ( BEng/BSc/BTech/NDip) in Chemical Engineering is required with no less than one year and no more than 3 years relevant experience in water treatment.

Requirements:

• NDip/BTech/BEng Chemical engineering
• 1-3 Years experience in Water Treatment
• Valid driver's license
• Operational experience must include: Media filtration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, clarifiers/settlers, dissolved air flotation
• Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings such as block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams and piping instrumentation diagrams
• Experience/familiarity with RO/UF and Chemical projection software will be an advantage

• Project Assistance
• Process designs/design assistance
• Research and development/assistance with projects
• Operations assistance
• Equipment assessment
• Client interaction
• Assistance with and preparation of proposals
• Interact with and assist broader Engineering team as and where required
• Evaluating Engineering processes and treatment strategies based on research and application of existing knowledge
• Provide detailed engineering information as required
• Assisting Process Lead by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends
• Presentation of data and reports to the Process Leads and/or Process Engineering Manager
