Job Summary
PBT Group is seeking a dynamic Data Steward to join our team! In this role, you will ensure adherence to data governance and management standards across business units and enterprise levels. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, develop data standards and processes, and act as a critical proxy for business data ownership, driving our Data Ownership Model forward.

Key Responsibilities
As our Data Steward, you will:
- Develop Standards: Establish data business standards, metrics, and processes that align with enterprise goals.
- Act as Proxy: Represent business data owners to ensure data ownership requirements are executed effectively.
- Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic direction for resolving data issues at Tribe and Product Owner levels, ensuring alignment with the Data Strategy.
- Define and Manage Data Assets: Identify and manage assets within your data domain while ensuring alignment across elements.
- Enforce Compliance: Create processes, procedures, and access controls to ensure adherence to internal policies and standards.
- Maintain Data Quality: Monitor and enhance data quality through feedback, metrics, and proactive issue resolution.
- Optimize Workflows: Improve workflows and communication for seamless data operations.
- Monitor and Advise: Track data usage, share best practices, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Ensure Compliance: Safeguard data security and compliance while offering regulatory guidance.
What You’ll Need:
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and project management practices.
- Proven experience in Data Management with expertise in data architecture, governance, analysis, validation, and metadata management.
- Banking experience, with knowledge of regulatory and governance standards.
- In-depth understanding of the data life cycle and operational execution of data/metric standards.
- Experience with root cause analysis, problem-solving, and awareness of the Data Product Life Cycle (DPLC).
- Knowledge of ETL processes and the handling of structured/unstructured data within a data architecture.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive both independently and in a team-oriented Agile framework.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields (Big Data expertise is a plus).
- Technical certifications such as DAMA-DMBOK are advantageous.
