Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute merchandise planning strategies to optimize product assortment and achieve sales, margin, and inventory goals.
- Analyze sales trends, customer insights, and market data to inform buying decisions and drive growth.
- Collaborate closely with buying, marketing, and retail teams to align on product launches and promotional activities.
- Manage inventory flow to ensure optimal stock levels across stores and e-commerce platforms.
- Forecast demand and create seasonal plans, leveraging data-driven insights.
- Conduct regular performance analysis, identifying opportunities and risks, and making actionable recommendations.
- Mentor and guide junior planners, fostering a collaborative and high-performing planning team.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandise planning within the retail apparel sector.
- Proven track record of success in forecasting, inventory management, and strategic planning.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable business insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in merchandise planning tools and advanced Excel skills.
- A degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
