Job Summary
Our client, an international company, needs a dynamic sales representative to drive sales in the KZN region. Responsibilities include managing key accounts within the organization and acting as a liaison between the manufacturing facilities, customers, and company management. The goal is to foster strong professional relationships with customers and consistently improve their satisfaction and retention.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Acquire new customers by reaching out to leads
- Research customers individual or business purchasing needs
- Serve existing customers by optimising current purchase plan
- Adjust Sales tactics based on new insights in the field
- Inform Management team of customer purchase actions
- Maintain monthly and bi-monthly minimum targets
- Conduct market research and monitor competitor activity
- Proactively make recommendations to customers
- Maintain documentation of customer contact and account updates
- Meet or exceed monthly/annual sales targets
- Submission of weekly call reports
- Preparation of monthly sales reports
- Coordinate regional sales strategy and execution with Marketing department
- Understand and promote the company product and service programs
- Obtain deposits and payments from cash customers
- Understand and anticipate customers’ existing and future needs
- Develop joint strategies that are mutually beneficial to the customer and the company
- Keep customers informed of status of orders, from receipt of order to the end stage of production
- Regularly liaising with existing customers to identify new business opportunities, ensuring all customers understand the products and services we offer
- Report on changes and trends in the market and activities of competitors
- Manage the relationship with existing customers and proactively contact customers to maintain a consistent high level of service whilst identifying further new business opportunities
- Negotiate price increases on an annual basis
- Processing of order claims and raising Customer Complaint Forms
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the company's product quality standards
- Must maintain the quality procedures and ensure they are adhered to at all times
- Coordinate collections and deliveries of orders with relevant transporters
