Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a SHEQ Coordinator in the Plastics Manufacturing sector, located in Centurion. As the SHEQ Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing safety, health, environment, and quality practices within our client’s manufacturing environment. This position requires a proactive individual who can ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting an effective safety culture across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular SHEQ audits and inspections on manufacturing processes.
- Analyze and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses to implement corrective actions.
- Develop and facilitate SHEQ training programs for employees.
- Coordinate and lead health and safety meetings to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of SHEQ policies and procedures within the plant.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure a cohesive approach to SHEQ matters.
- Support the implementation of ISO standards relevant to the plastics manufacturing industry.
- Engage and educate employees on environmental best practices pertinent to manufacturing operations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes affecting the plastics manufacturing industry.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a SHEQ role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics.
- Strong understanding of relevant industrial SHEQ regulations and standards.
- Experience with ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 standards.
- Proven track record of conducting safety training and audits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to safety and compliance.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and regulations.
