SALON MANAGER - BEAUTY
CAPE TOWN (CBD) | Western-Cape, South Africa
START: A.S.A.P / 01 August 2024
TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS:
- Tuesday - Saturday 09:00 - 19:00 (open / close shift)
- Closed on Sundays & Mondays
REPORT TO: Business Owner
REMUNERATION & COMPANY BENEFITS:
- R14,000 - R18,000 (final Offer will be based on experience & skills required)
- Team Performance & Targets Incentives (based on KPI's achieved)
- Commission earned on treatments performed (where operationally required)
MINIMUM RQUIREMENTS:
- Must be based within reasonable (timely & financially) feasible distance to the CBD
- Proven achievements in revenue & t/o
- Must have previous salon manager / spa manager experience
QUALIFICATION:
- Certification from a recognized Training facility with qualifications in either Spa / Beauty / Cosmetology
- City & Guilds / ITEC / CIDESCO / CIBTAC / SAAHSP
- Nail Technology Certificate - BONUS
- Dermal Aesthetic Certificate - BONUS
- Business Administration Certificate - BONUS
- Hair Industry Certificate - BONUS
EXPERIENCE:
- At least THREE years experience in an Assistant / Managerial capacity
- Previous employment in a luxury, high-end salon / hotel/ or cruise ship spa essential
- Experience leading medium sized team (10+ employees)
KEY SKILLS:
- Computer literate and confident including MS Office, Booking Systems & Scheduling, Social Media (FB, Insta)
- Able to train staff on company protocols and follow up on company brand trainings
- Able to lead and develop employees and services
- Knowledge of Beauty, Aesthetic, Nail & Hair procedures / treatments
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs
- Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Salon
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision - in the absence of the business owner, you are the team leader
- Knowledge of and ability to sell brand partner's products
- Able to assist with ad-hoc duties in other departments of the property if operationally required by management
- Comfortable performing beauty therapies when operationally / ad-hoc required
- Ability to forecast & plan ahead
- Perform basic employee relations duties including recruitment, onboarding processes and employee evaluations
- Engage with industry partners, influencers, business coaches or any party associated with the salon
- Promote services online / create social events and promotions
- Perform relevant financial duties including Cash Up, Reports and Budgeting
- Oversee, facilitate and manage stock / stock take & merchandising
- Facilitate employee wellness & appraisals (staff meetings, staff events etc.)
- Report to business owner on day to day activities
