Job Specification Project Planning Co-ordinating project schedules for all areas Overseeing handover of your nominated project from the Sales Team to the Site Project Leader and ensuring correct understanding of project & timeline Understanding the full scope of supply and process in detail from Order Confirmation through to site delivery, installation, commissioning and sign off Understanding what the clients requirements are for the project and being able to clearly communicate between both our client and theirs, to ensure that they align Overseeing DFS Site Project Leaders on the projects they are managing Liaising with overseas principal suppliers & their Project Managers regarding upcoming projects Contracts Planning, managing, and overseeing installation of new or 2nd hand equipment sold by the Company which have been delegated to you Planning and managing includes site inspections, measuring, approving drawings, and generally preparing for installations Maintaining and tracking project timelines for the projects you are responsible for by producing Gant Chart reports on MS Projects Undertaking the financial responsibilities associated with costing of project installations for the Sales Team Overseeing placing orders for your projects for local and imported components and ensuring all are produced to specification Setting timelines for your nominated Projects and ensuring that these timelines are maintained and giving regular feedback to the Sales Team as to the progress of projects Attending site meetings with, or in place of, Site Project Leader from time to time Overseeing installation and commissioning of new equipment supplied by the Company Appointing and managing sub-contractors on site during installations Ensuring that project snags and warranty issues are resolved promptly for Acceptance Certificate and sign off to take place after installation Ensure that this process is managed closely together with the Site Project Leader Draughting The drawing and populating of plant layouts for potential sales of our equipment on Autocad and Inventor as required by the Sales and Service Teams from time to time The updating of drawings on Autocad and Inventor, as and when required, when a sale becomes a Project, which you have been delegated The co-ordination of the layout drawing process from Sales to Client to the Projects / Service Team who will install the equipment Using the drawings to generate a Bill of Materials as required for each installation Following all drawing procedures set out by the Company for every project, such as, but not limited to drawing numbers, descriptions, revisions Attending site inspections including measuring for your drawings as and when required Attending project meetings and layout approval meetings with Client as and when required Generating manufacturing drawings as may be required from time to time Issuing of "as built" manufacturing drawings for local suppliers in accordance with the required specifications Generating scope of work drawings for site installations Preparing services and instrumentation drawings as may be required from time to time Liaising with our principals as well as local suppliers and sub-contractors from time to time regarding your drawings Conducting quality checks at manufacturers premises, where possible, based on drawings produced and raising any areas to be rectified with Management Service Work Assisting with service work and installations allocated by the Service Manager during slow project and contract periods Providing service, maintenance and engineering support for the products supplied by our client Scheduling service visits to customers, including machine audits and reporting potential problems to the customer This would also include recommending spare parts where necessary Maintaining records of work performed, costs incurred, and spare parts used and ensure that these are passed on to the appropriate person for invoicing. Writing reports to customers, principal suppliers and Management on service visits and installations Acting in a manner that serves the best interest of the company Minimum Requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience in Autodesk Inventor and Autocad essential as well as machining detailing Experienced as a project planner Self-motivated and self-managed Ability to work independently and within a team Results-driven with a solutions orientation Active listener with excellent communication skills both verbal and written Excellent planning, organising, and time management skills Must be fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans Previous experience in the poultry or food industry is hugely beneficial Kindly note that by submitting your application for this career opportunity you agree that Guardian Recruiting may use your application for the purpose of the recruitment and selection of the said position and this information may be shared with the relevant stakeholders in the business.
