Job Summary
The outsourced solution will act as a Headhunter/Researcher (Finance /Strategists/ Data) under the client’s guidance, responsible for the following tasks:
Candidate Sourcing:
Increase the flow of candidate profiles (1–10 years experience) for key roles like QRs, Macro Strategists, and Equity Analysts. The initial focus will be on PhD Quants at banks, expanding later to buy-side candidates.
Market Mapping:
Comprehensive market mapping projects, producing data on senior-level candidates (PMs, Senior QRs, etc.) for internal headhunting. Mapping should yield at least 20 viable calls per week.
Legacy Candidate Review:
Trawl through legacy candidates through the client’s database and LinkedIn, supplementing proactive sourcing with these candidates.
Data Input & Management:
Input data for ongoing market mapping to ensure a well-organized talent pool and facilitate quick candidate searches.
Specific Search Assistance:
Support on specific searches assigned by the client, gradually increasing in complexity as the outsourced solution demonstrates capability.
Reporting & Communication:
Provide regular updates (weekly or bi-weekly) on progress, challenges, and insights into the recruitment landscape.
Expected Qualifications of the Outsourcing Partner
The client seeks a solution with the following qualifications:
Experience in Recruitment:
Demonstrated ability to source and screen candidates in financial services, particularly for roles like QRs, Traders,
and Strategists.
Geographical Expertise:
Ability to source talent from key target markets, particularly U.S. banks (initial phase) and later expanding to buy side candidates.
Technology Proficiency:
Experience using recruitment technologies (ATS, CRM, LinkedIn Recruiter) to manage and track candidate data.
Scalability:
Proven ability to scale and handle increasing volumes of candidate sourcing as the engagement evolves.
Engagement Model
Phase 1:
Focus on outreach to PhD quants in banks (as a test market) and building a pipeline of junior candidates for key roles.
Phase 2:
Expansion to more complex searches, including experienced buy-side candidates, and more direct involvement in headhunting efforts.
Metrics for Success:
KPIs will include the volume of sourced profiles, the quality of candidates, and the number of viable calls or interviews produced weekly.
Project Timelines
Initial Onboarding:
One-month onboarding period for the outsourced solution to familiarise itself with the client’s target roles, market, and internal systems.
Market Mapping Completion:
Market mapping projects should be completed within 3 months, producing viable candidates for outreach by the end of this period.
Ongoing Deliverables:
Once fully operational, at least 20 viable calls/candidate profiles per week, with regular updates and meetings to track progress.
Review:
Untapped customer support/account management reviews.
Confidentiality and Compliance
The outsourced solution will work under the client’s branding and maintain strict confidentiality around all candidate data, adhering to data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA).
Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA):
All parties will sign an NDA to ensure confidentiality.
Compliance:
The outsourcing partner must comply with local employment laws and privacy regulations.
