Job Summary
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric and relevant tertiary qualification
- 3 - 5 years of business development and sales experience in the manufacturing sector, including technical sales, account management, or related roles.
- Proven success in acquiring new manufacturing clients and driving revenue growth in sub-sectors such as food processing, automotive production, chemical production, and general industrial manufacturing
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, operational requirements, and vendor workflows.
- Ability to develop and implement action plans to meet targets and business objectives.
- Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in developing pipelines, nurturing leads, and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transport and the ability to travel for client visits and industry events
Duties and Responsibilities:
Market and Sector Expertise:
- Gain in-depth knowledge of client operations, including manufacturing processes, machinery needs, and staffing challenges.
- Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, labor requirements, and compliance standards.
- Provide clients with insights into workforce trends, skills shortages, and industry benchmarks.
Client Development and Sales:
- Develop and execute strategies to secure new manufacturing clients across sectors, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Negotiate service agreements and maintain a robust sales pipeline to consistently achieve revenue targets.
- Drive growth through networking, cold-calling, and attending industry-specific events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor proposals that meet client needs.
Relationship Management:
- Foster long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring ongoing account retention and expansion.
- Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to strengthen partnerships and identify new service opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of candidate solutions with client requirements.
Strategic Planning and Reporting:
- Develop action plans targeting key industries and regions for business development.
- Monitor and report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and client feedback to management.
- Ensure that vendor applications and recruitment processes meet client expectations.

Working Hours: 08h00 to 17h00 (Monday to Friday), with overtime as required.
