Job Summary
Main purpose: To provide coordinated, consistent communication services that ensure smooth relations with the media, as well as contact the public through established SIU platforms.
Minimum qualification and experience: Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma inCommunication, Journalism, Media Studies or Media Relations (NQF 6/7). Three years’ experience in Communications.
Key performance areas (Include but not limited to): Support services to the spokesperson. Manage external communication. Branding support.
Technical skills: Excellent grammar skills. Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Team player. Time-management skills. Computer skills (MS suited. Research skills.
Required knowledge and Behavioural (include but not limited to): Knowledge of Government Communication and information systems. Knowledge of South Africa’s legal system. Accuracy. Attention to detail. Commitment. Resilience. Judgement and decision making. Analytical skills. Innovative. Creativity.
