Project and Engineering Manager – Steel Manufacturing

Hire Resolve’s client in Steel manufacturing industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Project and Engineering Manager to join their team in Durban.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Project and Engineering departments.
- Manage to ensure that projects are delivered; without injuries or breach of HSE rules a regulations, on-time, as per scope/specification, to high quality standards, within budget.
- Manage the Project and Engineering teams and provide performance feedback and goal-setting; conducts annual performance reviews and skills development and training.
- Further requirements include technical assistance/audits and marketing of products and services to the client
Requirements:
- Degree or qualification in project and/or engineering management.
- ECSA registration advantageous.
- 5 Years’ practical experience in the projects/engineering management fields.
- 2 Years’ experience in an aluminium / manufacturing environment.
- Technical knowledge of equipment used in aluminium industry.
- Proven working experience in project and/or engineering management and organisational skills
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Projects.
- Strong financial comprehension pertaining to budgets and job costing.
- Good understanding of principles of health, safety, environmental and quality in the workplace.
