We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing projects related to the design, manufacturing, and installation of solvent recovery and recycling systems. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. (Experience in paint shop environments will be beneficial for this position.)
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and oversee all phases of engineering projects, from design to installation and commissioning.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Perform site assessments and work closely with site teams and sub-contactors’ to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines and budgets.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address potential challenges.
- Provide technical support to installation teams and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their requirements are understood and addressed effectively.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools (Autocad, Inventor)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including piping, controls, and automation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Professional certifications in project management are advantageous.
