Job Summary
A leading provider of turnkey engineering solutions specializing in the design, manufacturing, and installation of recycling systems for the automotive industry, paint shops, and paint manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Installation & Service Technician.
Duties
- Performing routine services and installations across SA
- Maintain and update Intranet on customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
- Serves existing accounts by analysing work orders; planning daily/weekly travel schedule; conducting tests; resolving problems.
- Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
- Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Assist sales team in technical call outs for repairs or damages
- Maintain stock and demo units.
- Assist sales team in demonstration and installations
- Applying preventative measures to the units to reduce the risk of future problems
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Troubleshooting problems with existing equipment.
- Testing old and new installation connections.
- Maintaining equipment.
- Recording and maintaining stock levels.
- Maintaining the work vehicle.

- Electrical wiring capabilities single phase and 3-phase
